Minutes for Chapter 101’s October 6, 2018 Meeting

President Bob Pulsifer called the meeting to order at 10:20. There were nineteen members and quests present.

The minutes were read and approved.

Jane Weiderman gave the treasurer’s report. We have a balance of $8,447.56.

Bob Pulsifer had the unenviable task of delivering three eulogies. They were for Jim Lakatos, John Van Sweden, and Ed Bikowitz. Jerry Skelonc moved the Chapter donate $25 per late member to the NAWCC. Motion carried.

Dr. Al suggested as our membership is declining through attrition that we spend down our treasury rather than send it to Nationals if the club becomes unviable because it is too small.

Old Business

Webmaster Gary Taggart informed the membership that there are two ways to access the Chapter’s website. One is through the NAWCC’s website and the other is directly by typing in our URL. New to the site is an online form for members to use when they upload any items of interest.

New Business

  1. Hosea Jump has been inducted into the NAWCC’s Golden Circle. This group is comprised of members who have belonged to the NAWCC for fifty years.
  2. Chuck Vineyard has catalogued the club’s library. In the discussion that followed, Jerry Skelonc suggested we donate the books to a public library. Each book should contain a notice saying the book is a gift from Chapter 101. The notice would also contain contact information for the Chapter.
  3. Garry Taggart suggested putting the catalogue on the Chapter’s website where members can easily access it.
  4. Christmas Potluck
  1. Members should bring their own place settings.
  2. Eileen Bagley volunteered to buy the door prizes.
